So yeah, i still think they should have kept the original full script and i really hope for some director's cut or a 10 episode version of the movie with all the extra things Toriyama had in mind. Yes, animated perfectly, but still really rushed and short and without any sense of pacing or anticipation (meaning i didn't felt anything, any anxious feeling, because Gogeta was just winning, and even though Broly, was trying, the pacing was so off, it didn't felt like a really struggled battle like Dragon Ball made us accustomed to). That to me explain why the whole last fight, that should have been the longer and most epic, and at least should have seen Gogeta struggle a little bit (because there is no fun in having an overpowerd character beating another one, especially if it's the protagonist), ends up being rushed. As you can see the highly advertised Legendary transformation of Broly, only lasts 3 minutes or something in the movie, and the transformation moment is also done really fast and rushed. Is only at the very end that Broly can't anymore.Īlso remember that the original Toriyama script was 3 hours.
If one was vastly superior, even a couple of hits would have already been enough, instead with Broly vs Gogeta, he (broly) still fights back.
